Support for grown-ups

Is this a real X-ray scanner?

No. Little Doctor Lab is pretend play. It draws simplified cartoon bones over the hand, body, face or animal points it can see, or shows a body-part illustration. It cannot see inside a body or diagnose anything.

Can we play without camera access?

Yes. Choose “Play without the camera” during setup. Illustrated hand, chest and head scans and photo scanning stay available. A grown-up can change camera permission later in iOS Settings.

What is free?

Hand, chest and head scans, plus photo scans of people, faces or hands. There is no limit on scans and nothing to recharge.

What does Full Body Unlock include?

Legs, spine and full-body scans. Live or photo cat and dog scans, each with an illustrated version. Doctor mode, which says bone names out loud. Saving pretend scans to Photos. It is one purchase with no subscription, and it includes all future body parts. The App Store shows the price before you buy. Family Sharing follows your Apple family settings.

We bought the unlock on another device

Tap the lock icon to open the grown-up corner, answer the grown-up check and choose Restore purchase. The welcome screen also has a restore entry. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase, or a Family Sharing account.

A purchase is waiting for approval

With Ask to Buy, the family organizer approves the purchase. Free scans stay available while you wait. Once Apple delivers the approved purchase, the paid body parts open automatically. If approval was declined, a grown-up can choose Restore to clear the waiting notice. If an approved purchase is missing, reopen the app and try Restore.

No bones showed up in a photo

Use a bright, clear photo that shows a person, a face or a whole hand. In the Pet scanner, choose a photo with one cat or dog and visible legs. The bones follow points the app can see, so cropped, blurry or hidden subjects may not work. Illustrated body parts are always available instead.

Can live scans be saved?

Live camera frames are never saved. With Full Body Unlock, you can save photo results and illustrated scans by tapping Save.

Can the app see all our photos?

No. Importing uses Apple's photo picker, so only the picture you choose is shared. Saving asks only to add an image to Photos; it never reads the whole library. Saved pictures follow your Photos and iCloud settings.
